I was in grade 10 English class and my teacher gave me a book of Robert Frost’s poems at the end of the year. Mr. Creede told me that I should reconsider my choice of careers and become a writer. The Poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost was my favorite from that still treasured book. Places I’ve been:
Cuba – in college – alone but with other members of student governments
Caribbean Cruise – alone and placed in a room with another young traveller Deborah from Boston. We left Miami to Cozumel, to Grand Cayman to Jamaica and back to Miami.
Florida and Disney – whirlwind weekend
Jamaica – Wedding Honeymoon with my awesome Hubby
Several States in the US
Sauble Beach, Ontario, Canada – every summer,
Europe with my daughter: London, England, Paris and Versailles France, Zurich and Lucerne, SwitzerlandVerona, Assisi, Lido de Jesolo, Venice, Florence, Rome Italy and Vatican City.
The Less Travelled part is seeing the rest of the world or as much as we can on a Round the World ticket. Â I’ve been able to research and it seems like the most economical way to travel. Â We need to figure what we want to do and what my body will allow us to do. Our planned trip:
Detroit to Los Angeles –
LAX to Sydney, Australia – Se wants to see a ballet at the Opera House and I want to walk across that bridge~ (If WeeGinger can, I can)
Sydney to Cairns – Great Barrier Reef (must get dive certified first)
Cairns to Bangkok, Thailand to see our Sandy (she was our exchange student and we miss our girlie)
Thailand to Maldives – relax
Maldives to Greece – this was added by Se – I had NO clue that she wanted to go but I’m game.
Greece to ?
?? to Glasgow, Scotland – My family on my grams side, the Robertson’s came from Glennelg, Scotland and I want to see where my family came from.
Scotland to Dublin – After my kidlets dancing Irish Dance for 14 years, we need to go there.
Dublin back to Detroit.
With Round the world tickets, wherever you left from, you need to end your journey there.
This page may change and get updated as travels are fulfilled by the wanderlust. Journey with me…mini2z

But I am sick, a diary of my invisible illnesses …
I currently have four autoimmune diseases.
This was diagnosed in 1994 when I was pregnant with my son. Â I saw an endocrinologist when I was pregnant and then he dismissed me after. Â I’ve only been under my family doctor’s care for most of the time.
Type 1.5 Diabetes or Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults or LADA
I was diagnosed with this in April of 2012. Â I was first diagnosed as a type 2 but when I saw my new endo I was then told I was a LADA or a type 1.5 or a progressing type one. Â I had never heard of it but it’s the adult version of diabetes it just takes everyone a different amount of time for the body to kill the pancreas. Â I am currently on three different pills to control the diabetes and have been begging for insulin for about a year now.
This has been diagnosed in November of 2014 but it’s been three years of feeling like I have the flu. Â No one test or person is the same with Lupus and mine seems to not like my liver. Â I get only a faint butterfly rash on my face and it comes and goes. Â I’ve had times where I’ve slept for two days straight and taking a shower means I have to nap afterwords sometimes. Â I’ve been delayed being put on Plaquenil because of the liver issue that isn’t an issue.
This is my Rheumatologist’s catch all for my other symptoms.
I’m a wife, mom, daughter, grand daughter and friend journeying through the day to day, ups and downs finding my new normal with several invisible illnesses. I’m currently on long term disability due to the wonders of my screwed up immune system.
The four invisible illnesses I’m currently battling are Hashimoto’s Thyroid disease, Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults also know as LADA type 1.5 diabetic, Lupus SLE and Fibromyalgia along with chronic pain and migraines and all the side effects of the illnesses.
I have two adult children, known as the kidlets; who still live at home. My son is 21 who works full-time while finishing his college degree. My daughter is 18 years old who is entering in her 2nd year of nursing. I have two wonderful adult step children and blessed with a daughter in law. I refer to them as my kidlets.
I also have two fur babies (aka the pupalups) Keely our fox-red Labrador and Ranger our Brindle Boxer Wheaton Terrier Mix. You can follow them on Instagram at keelyandranger where they have almost 700 followers.
I have an addiction to subscription boxes, wine, books, photography and serious case of Wanderlust and hammocks. My husband won’t let me put a hammock in the house…
